Come work alongside some of the best 9-1-1 Call Takers and Dispatchers in the nation! SJCCA is looking for individuals who love a challenge and are looking for a professional career in Public Safety Telecommunications. To ensure candidates are the best fit for our center we have a thorough hiring process that does take time. We run at least two hiring cycles a year. The opening will be posted through San Juan County Human Resources Department at www.sjcounty.net. Once posted, the listing will be open for applications for approximately two weeks. After the career posting has been closed you will receive an e-mail detailing the next steps in the hiring process.
Be Prepared For:
- Orientation to SJCCA
- Panel interview with current SJCCA Dispatchers. (You’ll need to bring a certified typing test of 40 wpm or better and a photo I.D.)
- Ergometrics Video Test
- Director and Operations Manager Interview
- Background/Criminal History Check./Home Visit
- Psychological Assessment
- Drug Screen/Physical/Hearing Test
